We have all patients come in for an initial consultation with our dentist. This informal meeting gives you the chance to ask our dentist any questions you may have about their education and experience or the services we provide at our office. It also gives our dentist the opportunity to get to know you better and learn more about your unique dental health needs.
New Patient Paperwork
If your initial appointment went well, you can meet with our staff to schedule an official appointment for an exam and cleaning. Prior to this appointment, we ask that you complete our new patient paperwork. You can download the forms at the following link and complete them at your convenience, bringing them with you to your appointment:
Otherwise, we ask that you arrive at least 20 minutes early for your appointment to give you ample time to complete the forms. Please be as detailed as possible, particularly in regards to your medical and dental health history, as our dentist will use this information to determine appropriate treatments for you.
Comprehensive Examination & Cleaning
Our dentist will review your new patient forms and then begin your exam, checking your teeth, gums and other oral tissues for signs of decay, infection, gum disease and other serious issues. After the exam is complete, our dentist will thoroughly clean your teeth, removing plaque, tartar and other debris from your teeth and gums.
When your exam and cleaning are complete, our dentist will take digital x-rays of your mouth. These images provide our dentist with a more detailed picture of your oral health, making internal problems like deep cavities, impacted teeth and bone loss more visible. Our digital x-ray process takes just a few minutes to complete, and the images are available almost instantly for our dentist to review.
Following your exam, cleaning and x-rays, our dentist will have a conversation with you about anything they may have discovered. Whether it's a cavity, gum disease or some other issue, our dentist will review all your treatment options with you so you can make an informed decision about your dental care. Once a treatment plan is outlined, our staff can provide you with a breakdown of the total cost so you can come up with a payment plan that fits within your budget.
Our staff will work with you to schedule your follow-up visits and treatments on days and times that are most convenient for you. If no additional treatments are required, we recommend scheduling your next cleaning and exam six months from now.
To make it easy to remember your dental appointments, we offer Smile Reminders. You can choose whether you'd like to receive a text message or email to be reminded of your upcoming appointments. Sign up at the following link: Smile Reminder Consent Form.
